"I began at NESA in 2004 before transferring. Now, returning years later to finish my education, I am struck by a feeling of openness at NESA."

The Student Experience

The New England School of Acupuncture gives students the opportunity to tailor their experiences at NESA to their preferences.

At NESA, students can customize their education.  From four degree-granting tracks, to over sixty approved sites for assistantships, and internships either at the NESA clinic or any of our ten satellite locations, students choose.

The student body at NESA is diverse in every sense of the word, including age, background and nationality.  Some students choose to come during the day and make no other commitments beyond school, while others attend courses in the evening after working full-time jobs.  Some come straight from undergraduate school, while others are decades into another career and ready for a change!

Student activities include student-coordinated pot luck lunches to celebrate Chinese New Year, a talent show at a local pub, and impromptu lunches by the Charles River after exams.  The school coordinates events such as Spring Fair and graduation, as well as breakfast and massages prior to comprehensive exams.

Part-time employment opportunities are available to students in the bookstore, dispensary, library, research center, and administrative offices.
