Why NESA

NESA Launches Clinical Residency Program

November 01, 2009

NESA is expanding its educational programming by offering a clinical residency program for graduates.  This residency will enable NESA graduates to expand their clinical knowledge, develop increased confidence in their skills and gain more experience in treating patients in hospitals and community health center environments.

The Boston Medical Center (BMC) Department of Family Medicine is the site of the first residency program, set to begin in January 2010.  Clinical residents at BMC will gain competencies in electronic medical recordkeeping and working in a Western medical setting. They will also participate in advanced discussions of Chinese medical theory.  Patients will be referred from the department of family medicine as well as various other outpatient clinics.
