Alumni Resources
The NESA Alumni Association works to promote the spirit of fellowship among our graduates.
We want to assist you in your acupuncture practice or any other health-related business venture in which you are involved. For more information, contact the Alumni Department at 617-558-1788 x115.
Bio-hazard/Sharps Disposal Service
NESA provides a fee-based bio-hazard/sharps disposal service for all licensed practitioners and students of the college. We accept used or expired acupuncture needles or sharps, no other medical waste will be accepted. Included in this fee are complimentary replacement containers equal to the total volume of your disposal. We will make every effort to provide replacements of your choice from our available stock but reserve the right to make substitutes. Alumni receive 10% off the regular fee for disposal and because we charge you by volume instead of by container your savings really add up.
To speed up the disposal process please have the Bio-hazard/Sharps disposal form filled out and your containers properly marked. Staff are not allowed to handle, tape or mark your disposal for you. We reserve the right to refuse any disposal that does not comply with these regulations and policies.
Download and fill out the disposal form in advance.
You will be given the payment receipt and your form back for your records. Please keep this copy for your compliance records.
Bio-hazard/Sharps disposals may be made during NESA Store hours Monday-Thursday 9:00AM to 7:00PM and weekends during Continuing Education events. Please call ahead on Fridays. The disposal service is not available on Sundays, holidays and during Academic breaks when the college is closed.
NESA's Alumni e-Newsletter
NESA sends an electronic alumni newsletter to alumni to keep you up-to-date on the latest alumni news, CE offerings, happenings at NESA, and upcoming conferences and events. If you do not currently receive this newsletter or have recently changed your e-mail address, let us know.
Free Business Listing on NESA Website
On our website, we list the names and contact information of any alum who wishes to be part of our referral network. Alumni are encouraged to submit their practice information here. If you practice at mutiple locations, feel free to submit a listing for each location. If you need to update an existing listing, please go to the same form, enter your name, put "UPDATE" at the top of the"Brief Bio" field, and then fill in only the new information you would like to have changed on your listing. You may also email the Alumni Department.
Career Opportunities & the NESA Forum
As a service and benefit to our alumni, NESA lists career opportunities in the alumni section of the NESA Forum. The alumni section of the NESA Forum also serves as an online community that can put you in touch with fellow alumni. It's a great resource to ask questions, discuss cases, reconnect with old classmates, and find out what's happening at NESA today. Registration is free.
CE Alumni Hosts
Continuing Education offers an opportunity for reliable, personable alumni to serve as rotating hosts for CE programs. In exchange for providing ground transportation and other logistical support for a particular CE seminar, alumni hosts may attend that seminar at no cost. Contact the CE Dept. at ceinfo@nesa.edu if interested.
Kelly Library Resources
The Kelly Library's substantial collection, both in print and online, is freely available to alumni. If you're in the region, you still have borrowing privileges for all of our books and DVDs. And all alumni, regardless of location, are allowed online access to multiple research databases with citations and full-text articles from thousands of journals. This access does require a login, however. If you don't remember your information, or simply never had a username and password set up, then please email us at library@nesa.edu to get your account activated. You may also request that print articles or short books excerpts be scanned and emailed to you for a small fee.
