Accreditation
NESA is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt institution, authorized by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education to grant a Master of Acupuncture (MAc) degree and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) degree.
The MAc and MAOM degree programs are accredited through 2015 by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. ACAOM is located at:

The MAOM program is approved by the California Acupuncture Board, allowing MAOM graduates of NESA to sit for the California licensing exam.
